If you're much younger than I am, you may not remember magic slates. They were basically a drawing tablet, except that you couldn't save the drawing! You'd use a plastic stylus to draw, and the pressure would make the plastic sheet stick to the black surface underneath. When you wanted to erase your whole drawing, you'd pull up the plastic sheet!
I had a Batman magic slate when I was a wee lad and I wish that I still had it. I had more fun with it than the Etch-A-Sketch. Unfortunately, I used it until it literally fell apart.
